About Me
As an avid traveller and camper, my goal is to help others get out into the great outdoors and experience our own backyard. I’m Donna and am the founder of Edward River Caravan and Camper Hire.
At 42, I was tired of the push and thrust of corporate life so I took a leap of faith, left my job, bought a caravan and set off on a six-month journey on my own. Three years later, including two years of full-time travel, I still haven’t completed the full lap.
As my experience grew, so did my fleet – and I’m now happy to share this with you to help you create amazing adventures and live your best life. Australia is the most diverse and awe-inspiring country I’ve experienced and there is no better time to explore
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to go through Camplify?
Yes, all bookings and payments must go through Camplify. When you book with Edward River Caravan and Camper Hire and Camplify you will travel with confidence with Australia wide NRMA Roadside Assitance and Accident Excess Reduction Packages available.
Do I need an Electric Brake Controller?
When you hire a caravan with Edward River Caravan and Camper hire you will need an Electric brake Controller. We have these available to hire for $50 per booking. If you have any questions about the brake controllers – please get in touch!
What sort of tow-vehicle do I need?
Our vans have the following gross trailer masses and you will need to confirm your tow vehicle will have the correct towing capacity.
Betsy – Gross Trailer Mass 1700.00kg
Belle – Gross Trailer Mass 2110.00kg
Nellie – Gross Trailer Mass 3182.00kg

Do you deliver to the Deni Ute Muste?
Yes! We deliver to pre-booked allocated sites.
We don’t deliver to the volunteer section or the free-camp that is included in your ticket.
That’s because we deliver the vans the day before the Muster and need to know where to set up your van.
Please note that all Ute Muster bookings are for a minimum of five days and must include the Wednesday before the Muster opens to the public (usually the Thursday).
Guests will then need to pick up their van keys before they head into the Ute Muster site.
We will not charge an additional delivery fee for this event only. Delivery and pick up within Deniliquin is usually a set fee of $75 each way (total $150).
How long does the handover take?
We usually like to allow 30-60 minutes for the handover so we can provide you with thorough demonstrations of how the van operates. This way you will leave confident and happy so you can kick back and enjoy your holiday.
